Uzoenyi, 21, who was voted the Player of the CHAN tournament is believed to be on his way to a top PSL club, with Orlando Pirates thought to possess the trump card for the Enugu Rangers midfielder.
Warri Wolves defender Azubuike Eguekwe and Solomon Kwambe are two others on their way to penning down for one of the South African clubs.
The trio did not return to the country with the rest of the squad on Sunday night, when they touched down at the Muritala Mohammed International Airport.
Eguekwe’s likely destination is the Bidvest Wits while Kwambe’s destination is not yet revealed.
A former media officer of Warri Wolves, Timi Ebikagboro, in an update on his Facebook page, revealed that the Super Eagles team B skipper has had his medical in South Africa already.
“Super Eagles and Warri Wolves defender Azubuike Eguekwe having donme his medical and with Emmanuel Ibru on the ground in South Africa to finalise the deal will hopefully sign for Wits FC of South Africa, while Ejike Uzoenyi will likely sign for Orlando Pirates of South Africa,” Ebikagboro wrote.
