Here are pictures of an alleged army brutality on a young man. This happened in Barkin Ladi local government in Plateau State where some men of the Special Task Force accused this young man who goes by the name Solomon Gyang of stealing a rifle. The people fighting for the victim said it was later found to be untrue. Solomon explained to me that he was picked up by the military after accusing him of stealing the rifle. The young man was supposedly tortured for over 3 weeks and he said he fainted six times due to the agony of the torture. District heads of Fan and Foron tried in vain to secure his release from the custody of the army in order to treat him. He was finally released after three weeks of intense torture.
The pictures speak for themselves and this is perhaps one experience Solomon Gyang will never forget at least in a long time to come. See more photos after the cut...
