PHOTOS: Night of a Thousand Candles for Late Mc Longs

I wont forgive myself if i fail to post this at the end of today.
So my good friend, our friend, our brother, our comedian, the man who made us laugh and cry, MC Longs was given a befitting burial yesterday 20th November 2014.
But before then a service of songs was held at the Solomon Lar amusement park in Jos immediately after which his friends in the entertainment industry paid tribute to him in a well attended show.

It was a night of comedy, music and laughter to at least take away the pains of the painful lost. The roll call of entertainers and celebrities who stepped out for the event include Jeremiah Gyang, Kevin Pam,Osama the Akpunonu, Omodan, Job Manja, 5 Loaves, Efe and Doktor Seth, Chappy, Dachmo, Dareng, Mista Seth...Dj Benny G, DJ 24, DJ G Connection, Funny Gee, Ayuba Dutse, DJ Dadoo, to mention just a few. The Solidarity was incredible, the unity was commendable. Our entertainers una too much jor.

Also at the event were media personalities from all media houses in Jos including David King, Lizzy, Kenzy, Steary J etc.
It was a night of sober reflection on the life and times of MC Longs.
The real moment for me was the candle light procession. I was touched by the multitude that held on to their candles in honor of this great guy. It was a beautiful sight to behold and i was close to tears as i realized how much impact my friend has made during his short time here on earth.

So the people lit their candles lifted it to the sky and it was such a beautiful spectacle that memorable night. After all said and done, the people dropped the candles on the floor where it burnt through out that night.
It reminds me of the saying that 'when fire consumes everything and there is nothing else to burn, it burns itself'.
