No UniJos Student died in Blast- Mafuyai

Vice Chancellor of the University of Jos, Professor Hayward Mafuyai says no student of the University died in the unfortunate twin bomb explosions that occurred in Bauchi road close to the University.
The vice chancellor said contrary to reports in some national dailies that about twelve students of the university died in the blast, only one female student sustained injuries and will sit for her second semester examinations.
Professor Mafuyai however said the University is liaising with security agencies to ensure that the victims of the blast are fully identified and ascertained not to be students of the university.
He appealed to the media to be accurate in their reportage in order to allay the fears of parents and guardians as well as the general public especially at this critical time.
One of the two deadly explosions occurred few meters away from the faculty of medical and pharmaceutical sciences gate while students sat for their examinations.
