Court Sentences 2 Pipeline Vandals to 5 Years in Jail

Justice Ambrose Allagoa of the federal High court Jos has sentenced two NNPC pipeline vandals to five years in prison each after they were found guilty of the offence.
The vandals who were earlier paraded by the plateau state command of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corp NSCDC, for vandalizing oil pipeline installations around Mista Ali, were convicted on a five count charge of unlawful obstruction of PMS, unlawful aid to procure PMS, unlawful dealing in PMS, unlawful interference with free flow of PMS and unlawful procurement of PMS.
In his judgment, Justice Ambrose Allagoa of the Federal High Court Jos who found them guilty of all the charges sentenced them to 5 years in prison for each count with no option of fine. He however said all the sentences are to run concurrently.
A third suspected member of the gang pleaded not guilty to all the charges and is still being remanded pending the determination of his case by the court.
