ICT TRAINING FOR TOP GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS UNDERWAY IN JOS

Plateau state Governor, Jonah David Jang has stressed the importance of information and communications technology in efficient service delivery and good governance.

The Governor stated this at the opening of a 5-day ICT training for special advisers, permanent secretaries and heads of boards and parastatals which held at the conference hall of the government house Rayfield.

Represented by Deputy Governor Ignatius Longjan, Governor Jonah Jang said the training underscores the importance his administration place on manpower development and its implication for growth.

Commissioner for science and technology, Professor Comfort Piwina, under whose ministry the training is holding, said the ICT training for top government officials is aimed at justifying the huge financial investment in ICT by the state government.
