APC Accuses President Jonathan of Stealing the Harmattan

In what will continue to get everyone talking for a long time, the opposition party, All Progressives Congress (APC) has accused President Goodluck Jonathan of stealing the harmattan season. The national leader of the party, Mr Bola Tinubu, dropped this bombshell at a press conference in Ilorin earlier today.

‘Experts at the Lagos State University (LASU) have discovered that the unprecedented shortness of harmattan season in Nigeria, especially in the opposition states, was a product of climate stealing.

The Technology required for this devilish scheme was acquired from Israel by Jonathan during his recent clandestine trip to that country.’ Mr Tinubu claimed.

The harmattan has been irregular in most part of the country since December, and APC is hanging this anomaly on the PDP led government. The opposition party has now vowed to challenge the stealing at the Supreme Court in addition to staging ‘Save Our Climate’ protests in Lagos and across the country.

‘The Supreme Court must determine whether the FG has the power to steal harmattan or any other season for that matter or whether the government should limit itself to stealing money or other mundane stuff.’ The former Lagos State governor added.

Also, during the press conference, another APC chieftain, Mr Femi Fani-Kayode interrupted Mr Tinubu and shouted with vigour ‘Jonathan is an accomplished kleptomaniac like all politicians, but tampering with our climate, our heritage, is totally unacceptable and an insult to the Yoruba nation’

Scientists at the LASU however promised to restore harmattan within two weeks as they were ‘in the process of importing some of the excess ice in the United States for the restoration.’C. Sodiq Oyedeji Alabi
