Former
Governor of Plateau state and now Senator representing Plateau Central in the National
Assembly, Joshua Chibi Dariye says he had a good working relationship with the
late Michael Botmang.
Senator
Joshua Dariye who was speaking at the sidelines of the requiem mass in honor of
late Michael Botmang said the unfortunate circumstances that brought hitches
during his administration were regrettable but the state had to move on.
He
said even after their administration with his late deputy in 2007, he
maintained a close contact with the Botmang family in the spirit of
reconciliation.
Senator
Joshua Dariye called on politicians to imbibe the spirit of forgiveness and
reconciliation which are true Christian virtues.
It
will be recalled that Late Michael Botmang was deputy governor to Joshua Dariye
between 1999-2007 but had a brief stint as governor as necessitated by the
political situation of that time.
